Diana Malouf's Unveiling the Hidden Words is a study of the translation of the Arabic verses of the Hidden Words by Shoghi Effendi who was uniquely placed to render the words of Bahá'u'lláh into English of outstanding beauty and charm.

Dr Malouf examines Shoghi Effendi's translation in light of certain 'norms' - for example, to render the text elegantly, to make the translation enduring and to highlight its eloquence.
